10:45-11:30: Why we need global networks for secure and interoperable digital credentials
Kathleen Clancy
Senior Desk Officer Digitalisation, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
Digital educational credentials are a crucial element to academic integrity as they not only allow for the verification of an individual's achievement but also establish standards that allow for data portability and improve trust and compliance between institutions and individuals.
Trust built upon academic integrity can strengthen global academic networks and ensure the academic integrity of systems. Examining digital credentials through the lens of academic integrity allows us to explore both the technical and social dimensions of digital credentialing, which will be done by examining two case studies.
Lastly, the “Digital Credentials Initiatives Monitor” visual resource to advance the implementation of interoperable credentials infrastructure will be demonstrated.

Participation is free of charge. The broadcast link will be sent the day before the event.
What is Erasmus Portfolio Project:
The PORTFOLIO project aims to provide HEIs with evidence-based knowledge and know-how concerning digital transformation, inter-connected higher education systems, and innovative learning and teaching practices via designing and implementing a distributed and blended European Entrepreneurship Minor (Distributed Minor) whose twice-iterated blended execution and testing will allow us to develop a Framework and tools for implementing innovative teaching and learning practices.
